ABOUT MR. BASCOMB

 

Joseph Wayne Bascomb is a Seattle native who began performing at the age of seven. He credits the Seattle based “Central Area Motivation Program” for playing an integral role in shaping his career. Out of his experience with CAMP and their mentorship he has committed himself and invested over 30 years in the art of dance and mentoring at-risk youth.

J.Wayne Bascomb has performed for live audiences in the U.S. and abroad. He has directed, produced and performed with A-list dancers, singers, stage performers as well as in film and television. Some of Mr. Bascomb’s credits include: The Academy Awards, The People’s Choice Awards, “The Dionne Warwick Tour, The Cher Tour, The Commodores and The Donna Summer Tour. His Director/Choreography work includes: “The New Mickey Mouse Club” for Disney MGM, Showtime, CBS, Fox and Dick Clark Productions, working alongside Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Cher, Donna Summer, Debbie Allen and The Commodores. He performed on Broadway in “Bubbling Brown Sugar”, “The Wiz”, “A Chorus Line” and “Guys and Dolls”. He has directed overseas in Europe and Mexico.
